A Non Analysis of the "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" Music Video:

"Saaaaaaaaay... Ah."

Me: AH ,,'_',,

"My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" by Type O Negative is a campy, campy song. The intro machine kick drum, organ keys, and guitar chords all sound like they're ripped straight from a Halloween commercial for Home Depot. Knowing the band and their music, the camp is intentional, but it's still only something I could listen to ironically. It is not their fault either that I have heard modern pop and pop-rock tracks that are similar and have way less charisma than this song does.

On the other hand, the music video is one of the greatest things ever. It provides a blend of '60s psychedelic, '90s grunge, two groovy girls and one vampiric Peter Steele with his band. My favorite aesthetic styles are mashed together, intermingling to properly visualize a ridiculous song about polyamory and meat triangles. It's only something I could love un-ironically.

Anywhere else, flower power and gothic metal would make no sense. Here, they form a quirky amalgamation of visual soup.
