The Color of Freedom

An Art Series of Reflection & Flow

I used to dislike this particular shade of yellow. That's before I realized my whole life has revolved it, this cursed hue and its many symbolisms and perversions.

Yellow as a color is a stimulant for the senses, an energetic wavelength associated with positivity, happiness, optimism, and even creative thinking. And it certainly stands out, being so physically bright that it commands attention through the power of light itself.

For me, it has been tied to an idea.

Freedom.

A mantra so closely tied to Flow, the very thing that has shaped my style and philosophy towards art.

There is a saying that we look down upon things that remind us of our flaws and insecurities, whether it's intentional or not.

As for me, I have a strange relationship with Freedom. Even when pushing myself out of my comfort zone, it daunts me. It reminds me I'm just a little bit strange. Maybe it's my doing and my demise that I continue to be strange. But it is a part of me. By understanding Freedom, this flexible fluid yellow, I will find my bliss.
